The DCH-009 (our model No. JD-009FZ) is a 36V / 48V / 52V aluminum-case folding e-bike battery, 420 × 115 × 58 mm, offered from 13Ah to 24.5Ah with a 30A BMS. It is built for bikes that use the DCH-009 shell with a black top cover — the fit is defined by case size and appearance, not by brand: if your original battery is the same 420 × 115 × 58 mm DCH-009 with a 5-pin discharge port, this pack drops in. In practice that covers folding models from ENGWE, Tesgo, RIDSTAR, Lankeleisi, BURCHDA, BEZIOR, MATE, Cyrusher, Wallke, Ginghma, Cmaceweel, Viribus, RANDRIDE, Polarna, Yamee, Jasion, TotGuard and Vitilan — see the verified list below.
This is a built-in (in-frame) folding e-bike battery: a slim aluminum case that slides into the folded frame, with the black top cover carrying the key lock, the power switch and the discharge port.

A note on size: 420 mm is the governing number. When you replace a built-in folding battery, the case must match both the length and the mounting rails — a pack that is 10 mm too long will not slide home, however good its specs are. Measure your original case before ordering, or send us a photo of the original label.

Still unsure? Send us the original battery's length, width and height plus a photo of the label. Three numbers and one photo are usually enough for a same-day confirmation.
A DCH-009 replacement is not just a box of cells — three mechanical details have to line up with your bike:
If any of the three differs, the pack may still physically enter the frame but will not deliver power or will not lock — which is why we ask for the original case measurements before confirming an order.
The JD-009FZ ships with a 30A protection board rated for 36V up to 750W and 48V / 52V up to 1000W motors. In plain terms:
The DCH-009 platform spans 13Ah to 24.5Ah in the same case. Higher-capacity versions use higher-capacity cells and more parallel groups inside the same shell, so the outside dimensions do not change.
| Version | Approx. watt-hours (48V) | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 13Ah | 624Wh | Lighter folding commuters |
| 14–17.5Ah | 672–840Wh | The common factory sizes on ENGWE, MATE and RIDSTAR models |
| 20–24.5Ah | 960–1,176Wh | Long-range builds and heavier riders |
Range still depends on the whole pack, not the label — a 48V 20Ah pack is 960Wh whether it is built with 18650 or 21700 cells. See our amp-hour and range guide for the calculation, and our 18650 vs 21700 comparison if you want to know what is inside.
Two settings worth knowing before your first ride: charge between 0°C and 45°C, discharge between −20°C and 60°C. Charging a cold-soaked pack is the fastest way to damage it — our winter storage guide covers the cold-weather routine, and our charging best-practice guide explains current and cycle-life trade-offs.
The pack ships with a one-year warranty, a 15-day return window on unused items, and after-sales service centres in the United Kingdom and Los Angeles. Every unit is appearance- and function-tested before shipment.
Before you order, the label on your existing pack tells you almost everything. Here is what each line means and why it matters for a DCH-009 replacement.
| Label field | Example | Why you need it |
|---|---|---|
| Nominal voltage | 48V | Must match; 36V, 48V and 52V systems are not interchangeable |
| Capacity | 14Ah | Tells you the watt-hours you are replacing (V × Ah) |
| Model / shell code | DCH-009 | Confirms the case family and therefore the mounting and port |
| Charge cutoff | 54.6V | Confirms the charger you already own is compatible |
| Discharge connector | 5-pin | Must match the frame's receiving plate |
| Case dimensions | 420 × 115 × 58 mm | The single most common reason a pack will not fit |
Two practical tips: photograph the label before you remove the old pack, and keep the key — the lock mechanism is matched to the frame, so the new pack's keys work with the new lock, but knowing your original key position helps you refit confidently.
If the label is worn or missing, measure the case instead. Length is measured along the long axis of the aluminum body (the part that slides into the frame), width across the top face, and depth at the widest point including the black end cap. Round to the nearest millimetre and send the three numbers to us.
It fits if your original battery is the same DCH-009 shell — 420 × 115 × 58 mm with a black top cover — and uses the 5-pin discharge port. ENGWE Engine X, Engine Pro, EP-2 PRO and Pro 2.0 all appear on our verified compatibility list. Confirm the length of your original case first, because ENGWE has used more than one case length across model years.
Yes, when the case is the DCH-009. The platform is offered from 13Ah to 24.5Ah in identical outside dimensions, so a higher-capacity pack fits the same frame. Your motor and controller stay unchanged; you simply get more watt-hours and, in practice, more range.
Possibly. Compatibility here is determined by the case and port, not the brand name. Measure your original battery (length × width × depth) and photograph the label and the discharge connector, then send both to us. If the case matches the DCH-009, it fits even when the bike brand is not listed.
Yes for the builds this pack is specified for: 36V up to 750W and 48V / 52V up to 1000W. A 30A BMS at 48V gives roughly 1,440W of continuous headroom. If you run a larger controller, choose a pack with a higher continuous current rating.
Not always. If your existing charger matches the pack's chemistry, full-charge voltage, connector, polarity and permitted charge current, it can be reused. The DCH-009 takes a 2A or 3A standard charge and charges to 54.6V (48V) or 58.8V (52V). If in doubt, use the charger supplied with the pack.
The platform is rated for 1000+ charge cycles. Real-world life depends on how deeply you discharge, how hot the pack runs and how it is stored — the safe-battery checklist covers the habits that matter most.
Send us three things and we will confirm compatibility the same working day:
That is faster and cheaper than ordering on a guess — and it avoids return shipping on a 4 kg pack.
